Air Vice Marshal Vijay Wankhade (Retd)

Air Vice Marshal Vijay Wankhade was commissioned in Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics) Branch of IAF in August 1984. Post his commissioning and training, he began his career in Guided Weapons stream in a unit on western border security. His field assignments include tenure in Electronic Warfare unit, Communication systems and aircraft bases and Base Repairs Depot.
Important field assignment that he tenated include Senior Technical Officer at GW Squadron, System Leader in EW unit, Chief Technical Officer at Communication Station, Chief Engineering Officer at aircraft operating base. He has also been Commands Signals Officer at HQ EAC, Senior Maintenance Staff Officer at HQ Training Command and Assistant Chief of Air Staff (IT) at Air HQ.
Prior to his retirement from Nagpur based HQ Maintenance Command in April 21, he was Air Officer Engineering Services overseeing the sphere of activities related to maintenance management at units under MC Area of Responsibility.
He has done all important courses which also include Higher Air Command Course and course at National Defence College.
